Dr. Johnson Lee is a double board-certified plastic surgeon who’s education includes the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins Hospital with integrated Plastic Surgery training in New York and specialized Oculoplastic and Aesthetic training In Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Lee has been published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Microsurgery, and the Annals of Plastic Surgery. He has received awards for his research at national plastic surgery meetings and given presentations at multiple national and international conferences. He continues to contribute to the plastic surgery literature through books, aesthetic surgery chapters, and surgical video series.

Revision Rhinoplasty for Ethnic Patients: Correcting Results That Missed the Mark

Revision rhinoplasty for ethnic patients is among the most demanding work in facial surgery because two layers of difficulty stack on each other.

Scar tissue and altered anatomy from the first surgery sit over the original cultural and structural complexity that made the primary rhinoplasty challenging to begin with.

Previous surgery can also limit the amount of septal cartilage available for reconstruction. When additional support is needed, cartilage is often harvested from the ear or rib, adding another level of technical complexity that fewer rhinoplasty surgeons routinely manage.
